Mark Zuckerberg’s Message to Meta Employee

Today I'm sharing some of the most difficult changes I've made in the history of Meta. I have decided to reduce the size of our team by about 13%

Let go of over 11,000 of our talented employees. We are taking several additional steps to become a leaner and more efficient company by cutting discretionary spending and increasing our hiring freeze through Q1.

I want to take accountability for these decisions and how we got here. I know it's hard for everyone, and I especially regret those effects.

Meta will lay off more than 11,000 employees. It is a huge number.
